I’m Mya Vallat, a dedicated Fashion and Textiles major with a Concentration in Merchandising student based in New York. I’m currently enrolled in SUNY Oneonta’s 3+1 program with The Fashion Institute of Technology, where I will continue my work in Advertising and Marketing Communications.

From Liverpool, NY, I’ve carried a lifelong passion for fashion. One that has shaped not only my aspirations, but the way I move through the world every day. Fashion, to me, is more than clothing; it is storytelling, expression, and the power to inspire confidence.
As I work toward earning both my bachelor’s and associate degrees, I’ve immersed myself in organizations and creative projects that push me to grow as a leader, innovator, and collaborator. From campus involvement to hands-on fashion experience, I’ve taken every opportunity to deepen my knowledge of the industry and contribute to meaningful communities.
I take tremendous pride in my academic achievements and dedication to personal excellence. Every step of my journey reflects my commitment to turning passion into purpose and building a foundation that will support my dream of making an impact in the fashion world.

My Experiences
For the past two years, I have served as the Public Relations and Communications Officer for our on-campus Fashion Club, the Student Fashion Society (2023–Present). My foundation in leadership began during high school, where I served two terms as President of the International Non-Profit Community Service Organization, Key Club—an experience that earned me multiple academic and service awards (2021–2023).
In addition to my leadership roles, I have pursued creative experiences through independent modeling projects and have had the honor of walking in two Student Fashion Society runway shows. Across every opportunity, I strive to blend community engagement, strong communication, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence within the world of fashion and media.
